Graphics challenge

Basically, the main logo at www.uopforum.co.uk is too small and boring and I was wondering what you guys can come up with.

I'm not able to have a go because I'm currently at home and my PC (with photoshop) is at uni.

So far an idea I've had involved sky-blue bands (above and below the logo), a larger 'Plymouth' logo with 'Forum' kind of ink stamped on it at an angle in red.

Anyway, I'll leave the ideas for you to play around with.

The 'the and 'of' are like that in the original logo.

I made the logo above totally from scratch, it wasn't too hard but the 'Plymouth' bit was a nightmare as I couldn't work out how to get it arching nicely as the text-arch was rubbish and the work-route only wanted to write in the other direction

The University is the MammaGamma font.
Of Plymouth and Forum are just Arial.

Black = #292929
Blue = #0C93E0
