HI

I'm on a works computer and everytime I try to watch a video through a media player all the colours are wrong it looks mostly red with a few other colours, I have had this problem before I know its something to do with graphics card drivers but not sure what exactly.

I believe there is a ati card inside the computer,

Any help with links etc are most welcome,

its a wmp9 problem i think, i used to have this, but have switched to media player classic since

remove any codec packs you have installed
update to WMP10, install ffdshow from free-codecs.com
(possibly update graphics card drivers too)

^this is my copy+paste answer that works for everyone usually :)

The computer was formatted yesterday so there have been no new codec installed asaik,

I will try what you've suggested tomorrow morning when theres less people in the office :)

Thanks for the reply I will let you know if it works :)

Take a look at the options for WMP and see if Hardware acceleration is on, try knocking it down a notch or two on the slider.
