graphics drivers wont install

was having an issue so was suggested to remove and then reinstall them.

they removed fine but they wont install. ive tried several times, removing, starting again but nothing. the driver fails each and every time. its an awd card btw. i have no idea whats going on.

help!

cant be curopt download, dowloaded and retreid three times.

weirdly, windows up date saw it neede an update and it worked. triod the new ones over it and it again failed. now downloading 14.4 to see if itll work. never seen this happen before.

What version of Windows? Latest catalyst versions only install on 8.1, not vanilla 8.

so after windows updates installed the driver then it let me install 14.4 but.... 14.9 still fails. i have no clue why. is ther a prob with 14.9?

Yes, there are problems with installing 14.9: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/GPU-141002.aspx

Go for 14.8 instead, they're working fine for me: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/amd-catalyst-14-8-whql-(14-201-1008-august-12)-download.html ... or if for some reason you don't trust guru3d, get 14.7 rc3

Go for 14.8 instead, they're working fine for me: http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/amd-catalyst-14-8-whql-(14-201-1008-august-12)-download.html ... or if for some reason you don't trust guru3d, get 14.7 rc3

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh so assuming there is not a massive incentive to move up from 14.4 then i may leave it there. faffed enough the last couple days so i think it may be better to just run for a couple days and see if its all stable. thanks for pointing that out to me.
