Graphics Glitch On Grid

Hi Guys, I think this is the right section, feel free to move it if it isn't.

I've started playing Race Driver: Grid and it's a fun game but something keeps bugging me. On the loading screen there is a car and it has a weird graphics glitch http://i39.tinypic.com/2i795xy.jpg (Note black lines etc).

I'm running the rig in my spec but I've noticed that my GPU is reaching 98 degrees, that seems a bit errm hot.

Would you think this is the problem, if so how can I drop the temps? It has a 120mm fan by the side of it sucking hot air out and the fan on it cranked at full.

It's one of the older GT's with the tiny fan on it.

EDIT* ATI tool still doesn't find any artifacts at 100 degrees but man, that's dam hot. 104 degrees now. I'm thinking I should turn it off

Are there any decent VGA coolers about for the 8800GT?

Cheers

Heh, sure.

It's down the bottom of the spoiled running along the boot of the car, also the rear bumper is "Jittery".

4XAA (Tried running at all the possible settings)
VSync on and off still nothing

It happens around the track as well, the barriers are messy, really frustrating ;)

Try to underclock your GT and get the safe temps (core/mem). If needed, unclock your CPU to get temp inside the case cooler. Turn off AA and then let's see if those blacks appear or not.
If you've got couple fans inside the case - do they make a draught, or all of them just bump hot air outside (question is what pumps cold air inside) ?

I'll try to turn of the AA in a while then.

The fans in the case are all sucking hot air out, I don't really have many places where I could switch the fans about. I probably need a new case but I can't afford one at the moment :(

It does look like that a bit regardless of AA :(

However if the 8800GT can cope, crank it up to either 8/16xQSAA :D

Heh, I've cranked it up as far as I can go. I actually just think it's the game but I'd like somebody else to verify this.

Real shame to be honest, they've done a great job on the game but those edges are off putting :(

Yeah, I think it's the game. It looks great most of the time but is a wee bit jaggy, even with copious amounts of AA on.

Note the bumper and the headlights (Around the edge).
Doing my nut in :(

So look at my screenshots :) It's normal problems with some edges, I'm afraid.

I've got all the setting max, but MSAA is set to 4xXMSAA. Higher modes (8xXMSAA, 4/8xXCSAA nor XQCSAA) don't work properly, I mean fps drops to about 2-3 fps and there's something wrong at the screen like no textures, additional objects or objects moved to front from the back.. chaos :) My cards are 2x8800GS in SLI, probably it's due to lack of graphics memory (384 MB each only). Res is 1680x1050, DX9.

Try Latest Drivers.

Just to let you know a 280 Gtx can run the game on 1980 x 1200 ALL High Settings 16 MSSAA without any hicups.
