Graphics (I think) Micro Stutter In Game

Hi guys. I'm hoping someone can help me please. When I am playing online games i often get very tiny micro stutters which is disrupting my game play and not making it very enjoyable.

I have a good system coupled with a g-sync monitor so I'd expect smooth game play throughout.

I have tried all the google suggestions (turn v sync on, v sync off, disable all the in game and out of game overlays and settings that could interfere with the applications) but no joy what so ever. I have even bought a brand new power supply adaptor just in case the socket was the problem. I've also tried disabling all overclocks but that wasn't useful.

I've had two really good systems within the past year with completely different components and they have both suffered from this micro stuttering which would lead to some setting somewhere?

The games that suffer the most are Crysis 3, Battlefield 1 and Call of Duty WW2.

Here is my system:
Acer Predator IPS 165HZ IPS G-Sync
MSI Sea Hawk 1080TI
Intel 7700K (5.1ghz) with a Noctua NH-D15S Cooler
Corsair RM650X
16GB 2400MHZ HyperX Ram
Samsung 850 EVO 500GB for games and a M.2 250GB for OS (both drives are at about 50% capacity)
Asus Gene VIII

All components are cooled very well and temperatures are low.

Any help would be greatly appreciated please.

Hi there this is an ongoing issue with Microsoft and Nvidia since the creators update. See here for a massive thread of complaints about the issue :- https://forums.geforce.com/default/...ps-drops-since-windows-10-creators-update/33/
I have this issue and had to downgrade my Windows to version 1607 (pre-creators update) to finally rid myself of stutter.
Trouble is recent windows updates even for this version have re-introduced a small amount of micro-stutter and made Rocket League totally un-enjoyable again for me :(
I also have a 1080ti and a g-sync monitor but this issue has made me tempted to flog the lot......

Hi they, thank you so much for an answer. I've tried to play through it but after spending thousands of pounds to try and eliminate the issue and for it to still persist is for than frustrating!!

How would i go about downgrading to the pre creators update please?

There is no point downgrading. MS will auto push the new update out to you in no time.

I tried this myself. Only had this issue in BF1 tho and it's meant to be fixed in the latest Creators update.

Make sure your running the latest creators update (1709) and try turning game mode on per game.

Yup running 1709. Have you ever tried using a different version of windows to resolve the issue?

Playing BF1 (or any game for that matter) with the same panel and Ti (but air cooled) and no issues for me, perfectly smooth. Also running the creators update 1709.
