Graphics idle at 46-56

Hello.
I have a Sapphire HD 7970 Vapor-x cooling graphics card.
It's always running at 46-56, when playing games it's normally at 56C
Bare in mind it is running 3 screens, but it shouldn't be that high?
I personally think it's because I have a crossfire motherboard, and for some reason I have to enter this chip thing which de-activates the top PCI to enable 1 graphics card and give it full speed, so my graphics card is right at the bottom one which is very close to the PSU, could this be the issue?
Thanks.

Thats because the card uses higher clock speed when running more than one monitor resulting in higher idle temps, i am running dual monitor and clock speeds are 300/1500 (AMD 6870) it's idling at 45c but with single monitor enabled it runs at 35c.

Nothing to worry about here.

As mentioned, the card won't down-clock as much with 2+ monitors... resulting in higher temps

My 7970 runs at 40-45 idle with two monitors... take into mind the closeness to the PSU and i'd say temps are fine !!

Options -

1. Increase the fan profiles, more noise.
2. Get a seperate card/cards for the other monitors ( I use an old geforce 8800 (I think?!) on my second monitor))
3. Do nothing and don't worry :)
