Hi Guys,

Wondering if you can guide me on to a strange Issue I have?

Symptom: My Monitor goes off after 3 Seconds, Power LED stays on... If it turn off the Monitor, and Turn it back on, the Symptom repeats

So, It's not the monitor - Mine, and a spare work fine on another PC, with the 2 VGA cables and Adapters I used on my machine, so these can be ruled out...

The Issue also happens in BIOS, so that also rules out Drivers\Windows.

The issue happens when using ANY of the outputs on my Motherboard, or Graphics Card.

I've disconnected, and removed the Graphics card, Same Issue, even when using the onboard VGA\DVI outputs.

Basic PC HW Specs:

Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 DDR3
Xenon AMD Piledriver FX-6 6300 Bundle
8GB RAM (Hyper X)
Sapphire HD 6850 1GB
Be Quiet 530W 80+ PSU

Anyone got any Ideas?

Hi,

SOrry, CPU connector is in, all fans are working....

I should have added, The PC works fine, bar the image. So, if I was to boot the PC up, and leave it, it would stay at the log on screen, If I logged on, it would work fine, I'd just have to press the power button on the monitor every 3 seconds..

For me, I'd guess faulty Motherboard based on the fact if it was CPU, I'd get nothing, Memory (which I get all 8GB in Windows), Hard drive, I'd have other Issues, Graphics card, I'd get no issue when using the Board display ports.
