hi I am having major problems with my system, every time I play a game I get graphical slow down and then sound issues, I thought it was just bf4 but it happens on other games to, I have tried every thing I can think of along with google to help, and I just cant solve this problem, I have tried the latest drivers for gcard and earlier ones, I have removed the sound drivers and the problem is still there, i have also reinstalled windows 8.1 a few times to, I have updated my bios aswell, all I can think off is that my gcard has some sort of problem, I ran thief benchmark on ultra and barely get 20 fps...
when i play thief it starts off smooth for a few seconds then the problems start a few seconds later, the fps used to be around 100fps, thing is everything seemed fine on win8 not 8.1, but then again on a previous install everything was fine on 8.1, i am mystified by this problem..

Need a few extra bits of gen:

PSU?
GPU Temps.
CPU Temps.
Motherboard make.

Sounds like GPU is throttling under "high" temps.

On a long shot, ensure i7's iGPU is disabled in Bios if option available.

hi the psu is a enermax platinum 600watts
mobo asus sabertoth z77
cpu never above 50 deg on load and gpu never above 70 deg on load

no my ssd are not in raid, I do believe the igpu is turned off, to be honest ever since I got the gcard there have been the odd problem since, which now is a lot worse, but I am not convinced it is the gcard.... I also tried to down clock the card but still the same problem...

hi and thanks for that latency program, I have a major problem with handling real time audio apparently, according to that program hard pagefault resolution time is totally maxed out and the rest are just over half way except the top 1, is this because I don't have a pagefile on my ssds, can you recommend a course of action to sort this....

You have windows 8.1 correct? Disabling a page file is never a good idea. A page fie is needed in so many ways that you should never disable it. Even more so on Windows 8/8.1

Next under the drivers tab on latencymon what's showing up the most? Make sure all your system drivers for your motherboard are latest.

NVidia windows kernel driver is the highest under drivers, I was playing thief to see what would happen, it says the dcp execution time is far to long with the NVidia driver, but thief seemed stable while playing, I also disable epu power management in the bios, I couldn't find the cpu throttling part though, I turned off some other things to and have less frames with thief benchmark.... not much though maybe 10fps slower

I loaded optimized defaults in bios and turned epu off, the latency monitor is only reporting on the hard pagefault now, every thing else is in the green, but it says that my system can handle the audio now without dropouts, thanks for that handy little program, hopefully I can do some good hassle free gaming now.....
