So i'm having problems with my graphics card. While web browsing and scrolling the screen flickers and has been flickering for months.

In last few days the flickers has gotten worse and now the screen goes crazy with lines.

Something like this

I've clean installed drivers but thats not it.

Any ideas?

Argghh

Thanks for the replies.

Its weird it only happens when browsing or general pc use not when gaming.

I'll give another day and get in touch ocuk.

Try removing dust with a can of air first from the i/o etc, may give you a quick fix

Did that, gave it a good blast of compressed air, no difference I also just removed my noctua d-14 for the Antec Khuler 920 and with that added a second 7970 matrix card. CCC picks up the second card fine. While browsing on my TV connected to the lightning the card is OK no gfx issues.

Its while on my u2711 monitor does the flickring stuff happen.

I read flickering occurs due to refresh rate issues. Could it be that my monitor isnt quite in-sync with the gfx card?

Update: - Got it fixed. Sort of. When i restart the problem occurs and is visible instantly; while things are loading and opening at start up the screen flickers and i see lines across part of the screen. And continues on when web browsing. However if i change the graphics resolution to 1080 and go back to 1440 problem seems to have gone no more flickering while browsing or anywhere.

I also noticed the problem got fixed when I made my tv 'main display' and changed back to monitor as main display, the flickering was no longer.

Also the flickering doesnt happen at all on the TV. (Although I havent laoded windows first with the TV).

What to do....

EDIT: Turns out it happens on the TV aswell, like before with the monitor, only when you log into windows with the TV on and monitor off.

The actual fix however is to change resolutions and the flickering/tearing stops.
