I though this would be a good place to post this, and my question is this:
On my system, when there is a change between shades it dosent blend it in too well, it "steps". Why is this? What can I change to stop this?

The dispersed sunlight is "stepping" as it fades away from the clouds on my PC. Maybe it is just the pic in this case, but with XP defaut theme, where you see file, tools, help etc at the top of a window, it happens to the far right near minamize, restore and close where it begins to get lighter (this does not happen on other systems, only a few).
Running BFG 8800 GTS, latest stable drivers since around 2 months ago, colour depth at 32 bit.
