Graphics Software . . .

I have recently got a copy of Abobe Illustrator so that I can do some graphics etc - but after 4 hard weeks of trying learn and customise it - I am thinking of using it a s door stop.

The main problem I am having is cropping my finished images preceicsely - they always end up with a bit extra top and bottom when I have created the jpg.

So my question - if you had to get a good and easy to sue graphics creation package - what would it be - I have noticed that many people here have fab sigs and would like to be able to produce work of similar quality!

I dont know if it will work for your needs but its free so give it a go. Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro are the other 2 main graphics programs but can be very expensive.

Well I guess mostly any program can create graphics that can be used on the net. There was Adobe Dreamweaver. Expensive and not necessarily what your after but maybe also worth a look!

Adobe Fireworks (used to be by Macromedia) has a free trial... might be worth giving it a go.
