I am planning to upgrade my graphics card after christmas and wondering what would be the best choice to go for.

I'm currently thinking of getting an R9 280X. With the nVidia price drops would I be better off going for a 770 instead?

Looking to spend no more than £250 on the upgrade. Which version 280X/770 would you recommend?

I will have upgraded board and CPU to i7-4770k & Z87X-OC by the end of this month so ignore the i3 in my sig.

If the 780ti or R9 290 come in at around £300 I may stretch the budget but I'm not expecting that to happen.
 
I would go with R9

780ti will be around 500+ at least even 600+

290 might be 300-350 so just depends if you wanna wait like a week or so :)! if not R9 280X is best ;)

The waiting isn't an issue, won't be buying until after Christmas (got presents to buy for my gf and kids first lol).
