Hey guys, wanted to get some info from someone with more knowledge then me on this subject. I am looking to upgrade my graphics card, because it is now struggling with a few of todays games. The card I have is in my signature which has served me very well! But it struggles here and there. Since the 960 just came out which i'm told is around my price range of £150-200, I was wondering if it will be a significant upgrade to play the latest games with a smooth 60fps. Also will my older parts bottleneck the new card?

Thanks for the help!

Your CPU will probably not be a bottleneck. However the 960 will not run games at 1080p 60 FPS if you want high textures.

It will be OK for running games in 1080p, but it's not necessary to have a constant 60 FPS to enjoy gameplay.

If your budget cannot stretch past 200, your best bet is a 280X:

If your budget can go to £230, you can go for a 290:

@ RJC sadly it is not anymore, it lost its 4ghz oc when I had to change the cooler, it was pre oc'd by ocuk not me.

I have never thought to look at amd cards because of one I bought in the past which wasnt really good, but these ones you linked seem to have great reviews. Will those cards perform just as good as the nvidia counterparts?

The card I have now just said nope to evolve and dying light lol.

Thanks for the reply
