Hi,
My friend has asked me for advice on a potential upgrade, I said I'd take a look for him but as I'm not a huge gamer these days I thought I'd ask the experts here!

He presently has a GTX600, and is looking to get one of these new(er) GTX 980Ti models.

His current PC spec is:

Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V LX
CPU: Intel i5-3570k - 3.4Ghz
Memory: 8Gb Corsair Vengeance

Would the newer 980Ti be ok in this system, or is it potentially too powerful that the CPU/Motherboard could potentially become a bottleneck? Is there a better option for this combination?

Sorry if the questions sound stupid, I've been away from higher end gaming computers for a while!

Thanks!

It will be absolutely fine. I have a pair of Titan X cards with a i7-3770S and it isn't holding them back.
