Ok i currently have SLI GTX 260s

would it be best to sell them and buy a new graphics card?

a 470 or 480?

also what price will i get for the GTX260s?

The footage Dice is showing of bf3 is running on one GTX 580, a 480 clocked to 820 core will give you 580 performance. 260's are worth about £50-60

50-60 each i presume?

how do you think a 470 will do the job? A 480 is a bit over my budget but the 470 is ideal for the price.

Any more info on what other components Dice are using? Such as CPU? Because it looks and runs amazing in the videos.

the gtx 470 on OCUK is 179.99 but if i only get 100£ for the pair of 260s then 80 is the most i can really spend.

i think im going to have to do a whole upgrade soon anyway because if i get a new GFX card then my processor/mobo/ram will bottleneck it.

Problem is, hard to see (read: 'feel') performance when you are locked to the 25FPS the video plays at.

I can record FRAPS at 30FPS which looks like 100+FPS smoothness but in reality it's not - It's a locked FPS being rendered into a 25FPS video format.

I would have thought it would be worth spending the extra £15 on the 480 to be honest.

by the time it will be out we will have next gen gpus , if its optimized very well it could be bit more demanding then bc2.

Battlefield 3 is due to be out in Autumn if I'm not mistaken, I know the 590 and 6990 will be out soon-ish, but they're hardly next gen. Are the 6 series nVidia, and 7 series AMD cards due to come out before Autumn then?
