Graphing Tools

I am looking at tools to plot some graphs. The data that I want to plot is in csv files and there is a lot of it. So much that Excel can't really handle it.

Does anyone have a suggestion for good tools I could try without going down the full blown matlab route..?

The requirements are quite simple - I just need to plot a line graph with up to seven lines per graph.

I'm having some difficulty plotting a line of best fit in gnuplot. My graph is below and I've seen some tutorials for plotting line of best fit (e.g: http://www.cs.grinnell.edu/~weinman/courses/CSC213/2008F/labs/10-pingpong-regression.pdf), but it doesn't seem to work as my x axis is based on time.

Anyone got any ideas?

I managed to fix this by shifting the x axis based on a time in the middle of the dataset...
