How cool are they? So why are they not common?! More WordPress themes should include the ability by default, being able to carry that image round wherever you comment things is such a simple idea, but nobody seems to want to use them!

Anybody got a blog I can comment?

they were only available as a plugin before. Now they are standard on WP 2.5. So I guess that could put people off a bit.

No, that's my beef. They should be more widespread. I've also started to appreciate the simplicity of blogs for getting information across. I've managed to hit the top 10 results in Google for my ramblings about "bootneuter" for the iPhone.

How about we both put a link on our sigs, and you write an article about them in your blog? I will also put a link on my site to explain where the avatars come from.

Used to have gravatars on one of my blogs a while back, but took them off as not one person who left a comment used them lol. I realy like them though and also wish they would catch on.

I'd rather people started to integrate openid than gravatars. I a gravatar ages ago, but I don't do too much blog commenting so it never got used.
