got the game on friday, played through some of the single player campaign, thinking the gameplay and graphics were excellent.

then i got myself a wireless headset on saturday, and had numerous coop missions with my mate over live, both communicating and teaching ourselves some tactics.

this just feels like a real step forward in gaming. it's not just the game itself. it's the wireless setup, the communications, my sony hd tv probably too.

it just added up this weekend to something completely on a new level, really enjoyable game.

Is the multiplayer the seem as the original as in you can't get your back up against walls and use them as cover? That really upset me about the original, as I would've loved the MP side to be the same as SP but with your mates...

Yeah its the same, so you cant use walls for cover like you do in single player.

Have to echo the sentiments of the OP, I absolutely love this game in multiplayer. I wasnt too keen on the original GRAW in single player mode when I first got it but playing it online turned the game around into one of my favourites. The co-op missions are the best by far, as it promotes a lot more teamwork that you normally seen on games on Live.

Nope, no SP type cover in MP, just like original

This is a game where you can even do naughty stuff in game, Miss K has felt my rod many a time in game, we was climbimg all over each other last night, fortunately i didnt get her load blown in my back again ;)

If this game had the cover system in mutliplayer it would be dull. A sniper would have such an advantage you could barely kill a camping sniper. The whole game would then just be one big campfest. The maps are large so you could just cover an area from all sides with a cling to cover.

Would be pointless imo. The co-op games would be very easy to, with a full cover system I could do them on my own.

Instead you run like a mad man to extraction and get wiped out :D lol

Definitely loving this game, havent played MP yet as im busy finishing up the SP side of things...well when the game doesnt cause my 360 to crash every few mins:(. Nothing more fustrating than getting far in a level then having it crash, meaning you have to hard set the 360 and re-start from the beginning :/.

Anyways definitely as good as the first GRAW imho, if not better. But if it continues to crash my 360 then im going to have to send it back for a new copy. As no other game causes my 360 to crash as much as this game does:(.

Damn slow arse ghost. I nearly made it too. There should be an option to dump equipment and run faster :D

My mate and I went through the first mission in the coop campaign lastnight. Forget the name, but basically you have to take out a number of mobile AA units, then get some intel on a chemical compound at the north of the map.

So, after a couple of flawed attempts we got our tactics right and started doing things a bit proper. After getting through all the tasks, the final objective involves running to the evacuation point before the whole place gets toasted. We got to the evac point with about 30 seconds to spare, the chopper arrived and just circled around and above us for a while. Eventually our time was up and we ended up 1) melted 2) failing the mission.

Got a feeling we were standing on the point where the chopper needed to actually land, so we were getting in its way. Can anyone confirm this?

Yup, +some extras. :)

Loving this game too, only had chance to play a couple of missions but the graphics, sound and overall experiance when running in HD and blasting out of home cinema set is just great. Music in particular is really impressive.

Seems a lot easier then the first one though. still to play it online

Nope you have to be in the extraction point, indicated by 4 blue flares, but all the alive people need to get there, at end of Mission 3, Nokkon was slightly outside and we had a sudden rush of enemies coming towards us and i screamed at him to get in, /que the cutscene

Miss K - i certainly did

There isn't the same cover, but no-one ever seems to mention the peek function, which is new in G2. It definitely increases your chances when getting around corners.
