Grease!

I'm decorating the kitchen in my flat with the help of mr-white and above the work tops is a layer of grease which has built up for a number of years.. Flash kitchen just isn't cutting through the stuff. Can anyone recommend something stronger which will cut through the grease.

There's an oven cleaner my wife uses in an orange box with clear bags for the racks and a spray for the inside, its amazing

Oven pride. i used that for the inside of my oven but i used it on the grill from my extractor and it melted the mesh!
