Get that cranny to lvl 20 before even thinking about building up troops.

Once you start building troops store them at a sympathetic player's village or oasis until you have a decent amount. Once you have a hundred or so no-one will really bother attacking you.

Oh yeah get that wall lvl up too :D

Not on speed. Horsey is as "Petra", but I don't think she's playing that seriously.

I'll be on UK1 restart if you're planning on playing in that.

im on speed server i in the sw i think i messaged the player (athens) and asked him pollitely to stop farming me at least for a little bit so i can develop my village a little he asked for me to send him resouces and wondered if i would agree to a nap i havnt replied to him yet but he hasnt attacked me yet so i think if i give him a few hundred of each resouce a day he might leave me alone for a little bit.

As for an ocuk allience im up for it my travien name is niceguyeddie

Didn't mind travian till found that 1 spiteful dude can pretty much destroy any chance you have of playing the game (basically nuked me back to the stoneage).
 
Signed up to this last night (uk server 2) on the recommendation of a friend. Only played on there for about an hour but it seems similar to Age of Empires.

Is there a current OcUK alliance to join?

Anyone got any tips for a newbie? (other than reading 50 pages of thread!)

S2 is nearing end game. You'd probably be better off on s5 or s1.

If you join S1 then start in SE and drop me a message in game (Redd) and I'll hook you up with an invite to the Boom alliance.

I've already joined S2 (last night). Would it be fairly easy to move to a different server (just sign up again?) or more a case of getting my current village closed down?

They've started a very similar game called Wild Guns now, same basic principles (Mexican = Gaul, Indian = Teuton, Cowboy = Roman), but with a few changes, like Mexicans have a build queue of 2, and Cowboy's base unit being a farmer :)
 
This is basically Utopia with a GUI.

I spent my entire high school education playing Utopia, and i was damn good at it.

I shant be playing Travian. The prospects scare me.
