Great GPU, Not So Great CPU

I have a i5 2500K CPU and have been able to get hold of a R9 390 graphics card.

How will the graphics card fare with the CPU? Will it work well?

It'll be fine. The 2500k should overclock well, so no problem.

Mostly depends on the resolution you're playing. The 2500K is still a great CPU and will easily go over 4GHz. It will even handle the latest GPUs with no issues.
