does anyone know what games look like in smaller widescreen resolutions like 1680*1050 A IM NOT SURE IF MY 7800gt can handle the full resolution for gaming

Personally I would wait for the HC version. I've got the 2707 (which has the same 92% colour gamut as the HC) and there is a noticbale difference.

Also, if you can afford it, I'd say get the 2707 - its much better :)

An update on this offer, we've had last minute improved pricing on this panel and the newer 27" and as such we have reduced our special offer price to what is absolutely staggering for a 24" panel with so many features. :)
 
Lol, guess what's sitting in my computer room right now :D - albeit still in a box as I've not had chance to unpack it
