Just wanted to post about the great customer support I've had the good fortune to experience from Be.

My phone line developed a fault earlier in the week, with intermittent noise, resulting in my connection (at 14-16mb/s) dropping out every few minutes. A quick bit of fault finding later, and I was reasonable certain the problem was with the line (it was, and BT should be fixing it tomorrow).

I gave Be a quick ring to see if there was anything they could do, and they promptly upped my SNR a couple of steps until I could get a stable connection, and when it's sorted I just give them a ring back for them to drop it back down. Overall time on the phone to Be, less than 10 minutes, including call queuing.

Great technical service, and now great customer support, I'll be staying with them for quite a while!

Yep, been with them for over two years now. They were abit sketchy at first but I can't fault their tech support on resolving problems at all - I just wish I could get a faster connection speed haha.

Every time i have had the cause to phone them, their customer service has been exemplary and having phone supports 24hrs has been very useful. It can take a minute or two at the end of the call with them asking if there is anything else they can do, wishing you a good weekend, saying bye a few times but i can put up with that :p

Another vote for Be...absolutely awesome they are...not that ive had many reasons to ring them up as my line is steady at 18mbps down and 2mbps up.

Ii just hope they dont go the way of other isps who decided to throttle their connections and introduce caps.

also getting 18mb down and 2mb up

been with BE for ages, very very happy with them

great customer service too

I have been with BE since they first launched in my area fantastic service even when I had issues with my credit card.

One thing I think they need to sort out is them routers they are complete rubbish which is strange they have inside almost the same parts as the popular netgear routers so why not sort out better firmware then or just sort out a deal with netgear?

If only I could get better speeds but that's not BE fault.

Well BT kindly fixed my line today, and when I rang up BE to change my SNR back, I discovered that I can actually do this online myself, which I never knew! If you log in to your account on the website, about halfway down on the right you can select what connection profile you want. Changing from the standard to the optimised has moved me from 14mb to 16mb. Needless to say I'm feeling pretty pleased!

You're limited to something like 6 changes a month though so do keep that in mind. That sounds a lot, but changing between fast/interleaved and various SNR settings soon adds up while you're finding your line's optimum config. Phone and online support will still do as many changes as you like if you hit your maximum though. If I hadn't switched to cable for 50 megs I'd probably still be with Be. Great company.

I do miss UK Online though.
