Hi there

NVIDIA's latest GT 710 has to be the best bang for buck card on the market, single slot, low profile, great connectivity, only 23W TDP and best of all they start at £29.99 inc. vat. :)

Great reliability and of course great nvidia drivers, these cards are actually ok for basic gaming, especially on older titles as they feature 192 cuda cores, DDR3 memory with a 64-bit interface.

OK they are probably not so exciting for those of you with GTX 900 series cards, but they are ideal for work, home, media and basic gaming systems. We are expecting stock to land next week onwards. :)

There much market for these still? Most benches I can find put them slower than modern iGPUs from either vendor, thought this segment would be totally dead! Having said that - finding actual direct comparisons was hard so was doing multiple steps of equivalency to work out how good they were which will have been wildly inaccurate.

NVIDIA still shift such cards in their thousands per month I believe, someone is buying them for sure. :)

These are probably going in very old desktops as a way to update the machine's display connectivity.

Cheaper buying a few thousand of these to upgrade a companies machines, rather than buying a few thousand new PC's etc.

No way are these going in new PC's - Skylake's IGPU is much faster than these.

Depressingly I have a GT610 in my work machine (which is otherwise rather awesome with a i5 4560, 16Gb of ram and a 250gb SSD) as the onboard video doesn't do anything above 1920*1200 and I have a 1440p screen. One of these is cheap enough that I'm tempted to buy it myself for a slight upgrade :P

Fair enough :) you guys are in a better position to know than me, just seemed surprising! More PC/component sales regardless of market segment is good for all of us :)

Aye, I guess, it makes sense.

How come these have higher clocks than the GT720s (whilst having the same 192 cores and same speed DDR3 memory)?

Also typo in the text above plus product pages "mindcraft" instead of "minecraft"

I'm always looking for hardware to give me issues.

It is satirical. A 710 will handle all games with issues and that I guarantee (slow frames).
