Great Vid for HL2 fans

It's a Special Effects showcase, HL was just the vehicle. It's quite a good watch, although the pacing near the end is a little slow.

Think it might be some form of viral marketing for something to do with Half Life actually, go to the main site from Lyons Link, there are symbols for Black Mesa, Apeture Science and something called the Hanso Foundation (which has some wierd web page which seems to have some references to Lost).

Looking at it closely it speaks of the future as the past, very much a viral marketing piece, but pretty awesome at that really.
 
Not bad, wish part 2 of that other one would show up. Found it a bit cheesy how they still managed to incorperate a windows 98 bsod into that vid for a brief ssecond when the guy pulls his mask off.

I thought it was superb. Such fantastic skills, I can't imagine what people's reactions would have been if we saw effects that good in multi-million pound full length films. It's got to the point where people can churn stuff like that out in their bedroom for peanuts... Amazing.
