Greed Corp - Turn Based Strategy Game

Anyone else got this in OCUK. Bought it yesterday on steam, game seems quite interesting - quite board game style. You have land resources as you drill those you get gold but if you use it all up then associated tiles are destroyed. Likewise you can destroy a tile which clears linked tiles.

I'm still going through the tutorial and enjoying it thus far but the fun will begin (hopefully) when I hit the campaign - or even better Multiplayer.

Anyone else got it or getting it?

Played my first battle in campaign - love it! Could be a stayer on my playing games list. Out of interest if you want to play friends on steam who have the game you create an online battle and then use the steam interface (shift tab) and invite friends to play.

Game strategy is quite clever where to win you have to destroy your tiles to gain money to win - and once you start the process you can't stop it. Interface is a joy, music is very well done.

Looks good reminds me a bit of an really old Mac game I used to play, might give this a buy.

I know a few around here have it. Have been very, very tempted to buy this. Might wait until it has 75% off or so.

Quite fun but also quite limiting. For the price i'd recommend it- will still dip my toe into it from time to time

I've played this a fair bit in multiplayer and it's relatively fun but a bit too simplistic to have any lasting appeal (for me, at least).

Yeah i can see that conclusion too. Good fun but a bit too simplistic to keep you occupied for a while. Maps tend to be that small that it quickly turns into a bit of a cluster**** that leaves only a few isolated islands standing. Tried out a 4player game vs Skilled computers yesterday and it ended up with 2 of them killing themselves and i had to finish the 3rd off using the 3 remaining single islands.
