Anyone else used this? Ive been told by an installer i can get up to £700 cashback if i use them for a boiler replacement and to upgrade heating controls... But on reading this:

https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/204120/QG_Cashback-web.pdf

Page 2 there breaks it down a little, seems i can get £270 for a new boiler and maybe £90 for the flue. But there is small print that i cant get cashback for the upgraded controls at the same time as a boiler replacement... So that cuts it right down from the potential figure of £700 to £360.

I mean it was kind of worth it with the £700 with the extra hassle but £360 would mean im better off just going with a cheaper installer. Am i missing anything? Is the cashback thing just as lousy a deal as the green deal loan is turning out to be?

Oh balls ive just stumbled across this now:

https://www.gov.uk/green-deal-energy-saving-measures/cashback-scheme

"There’s a different scheme in Scotland." Of course there is

And its called the "Green homes cashback scheme"

http://www.energysavingtrust.org.uk/scotland/Take-action/Find-a-grant/Green-Homes-Cashback-Scheme

It dosent seem to give a breakdown of the cashback on offer or the smallprint, its a good bet its the same as the other scheme i linked in the OP. Yeah im thinking its not gonna be worth the hassle, going with a cheaper installer to begin with is probably gonna be a better bet.
