Death Star or Mount Doom, it depends on the day.
I have just connected up a new PSU to my mates computer, as I believed that the old one had died, as there was no power going through when the old one was in place and switched on. I can honestly say that I have a good amount of experience when it comes to buildng computers. However, despite this, when I come to turn on the new PSU I don't get any power! I just get a flashing green light on the MOBO. I have googled this fault, and it would appear that it would be the PSU. However, this is the second Antec 550 Basiq he has purchased and I am not having it that this is the second faulty PSU!!! The system is as follows:

ASUS M2N 32-Sli Delux
AMD athlon 6000x2
2gb ocz plat rev 1
8800gts 640
Seagate barricuda 500gb
Antec basiq 550 mod

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Its a brand new powers supply and its the second one I have had now. I doubt it very much that it is the PSU!

Did you take out the Mobo? Only asking this as it might be shorting on something. Strip it all out and start again tbh. I know it sounds like a lot of bother, but that way you can be sure either way then.

Also try a cmos reset, just to be on the safe side.

Also make sure every thing is seated properly, i.e G card, memory and so on.

There isn't anything in the MOBO manual to indicate what the flashng MOBO lights means. How can I find out whether there is any power going to the GPU???
