Hi Guys

trying to buy footy manager for £12 while on sale and using 20% off code.

add it to basket fine, code works fine.

enter bank details, go through authentication with bank then get error saying could not complete transaction please contact provider (bank)

ive rang my bank, they arnt seeing any transactions their end, and after i told them site name etc they said they had done something to ensure nothing was being blocked from their side.

Still getting stopped.

Ive also tried using my credit card, and same thing happens, my friend sitting next to me at work has tried to buy this also and he receives the same error.

Also happens when trying to complete transaction via paypal. Ive updated all my info on site etc and rly cant see why its being rejected.

Any ideas? anything simple im missing other than try contacting GMG.
 
i get this quite a lot with them.
tried two cards and paypal the other day and all failed.
in the end it was probably good as it stopped my buying tomb raider.

tried again with Sim City yesterday using paypal and it went through without a hitch.
didn't change anything.

GMG have a notice on their website saying that some banks consider them gambling sites i think and use that to explain why it fails.

one solution would be to preload money from your bank to paypal and then use that to buy the game.
 
i tried to buy simcity using paypal and just standard card yest and it failed both times.

i contacted bank and they said no request for money was there and then i contacted GMG and they said it was an IP issue.

My work internet is routed through the netherlands for some reason so i could only buy from my home computer

GMG were quick to reply using the ticket system. about 20 mins if i recall correctly.
