Not sure if this is the correct section, but...... how does this website work? I hav regestered, bought assassins creed and I haven recieved a key. Under the section ‘purchased games’ I can see the game there but nothing happens if I click on it. The confirmation email was just as it said confirmation. Have I missed something out?

Goto 'Your Purchases' copy the code at the end of the line with the game you bought and add it to 'Uplay' or 'Steam'.

No key ? contact them.

At the end on the line I have a geeen square with like the loading Arrow circling is that where the key usually is?
I’ve contacted them now. My first time on the site so thought I may have missed out something!

Just a few hours back and fore for me but in the end it was my Internet explorer that was the problem, I changed to chrome for a minute and I worked fine. IE was blocking the pop up so I could not redeem

Kinda related - I have used Green Man Gaming and other similar. I was told that if I use these sites too often, Steam will cotton and de-register any 'bootleg' codes that I have used. Is that true? Same goes with purchasing Origin codes on eBay?

I hope not as a lot of the games I own are through cd keys or g2a, only just heard of GMG from another thread on here. Steam is dear compared to when you can get the same thing sometimes more than Half the price somewhere else.
A lot of the time when you buy the keys you can choose them to be “gifted” so it’s actually the seller just gifting you a key which is allowed.

All my keys have been from other sites bar maybe 10-20 games I have direct from Steam, I think that might be a lie. :p

As mentioned by others, anything from Green Man Gaming is safe as they're an official retailer for games.
Stuff from third party sellers like Kinguin and G2A always has a minor risk of games being revoked, but it really is a minimal chance of it happening so it's not worth fretting over it.

I've only ever had first hand experience from one publisher revoking a game from a grey market seller, that was Ubisoft.
However I managed to negotiate with them to re-activate that key via their online chat - that took about 35 minutes and a bit of photographic evidence of my purchase from G2A. So I'd say that even if you do get a key revoked, a chat with the customer service team for Origin/Steam/Uplay has a chance to get the game back.
