I bought a hotel model LG 1080p from a friend (best £35 I have spent on tech

It's hardly remarkable but does just fine, I have it plugged into my HTPC which is running all the time and the TV is used to watch content on a daily basis.

I seem to be experiencing a number of issues which have all coalesced at the same time.
- Turning on the TV - it acts as if no source is connected. I have to remote into the HTPC or restart for the TV to pick up the signal. I have turned sleep off and pressing buttons on the Wifi PC remote usually doesn't do anything.
- Massive green patches/bars appears on the TV as a layer at random times.
- The PC is having all sorts of problems; Kodi updated without my OK and crashes all the time now on v18, the PC BSODs randomly (don't need help with this but wonder if it could be a cause).
