Green Screen Going Into Windows

I built this mining PC like 6 months ago and hasn't had any problems till now... It was mining this afternoon and the program suddenly came up with errors then the screen turned green and then the desktop came back. So i restarted the PC with booted up ok with the motherboard logo then the blue windows icon but as soon as going into windows it went to a green screen.

I then reinstalled windows taking out the one graphics card that was connected so there were 5, install went fine but installed the graphics drivers and done the same on restart, a green screen - then it restarted and green screen but the desktop came up 5 secs later and started mining again.

I restarted it again a few hours later and green screen, tested each card one by one too and all done the exact same thing so suggests it's not a actual card.

What else could it be? - motherboard, cpu?

It was actually restarting itself whenever the desktop was supposed to come on, post and up to it displayed fine, was weirdest thing... I ended up swapping the DP cable it had been connected with for months for an HDMI cable and booted into Windows, reinstalled drivers with all 6 x GPUs and started mining no problem.

Can't believe i spent so much time on this and looks like the video cable might just have randomly stopped working properly!
