Hello,

I’m currently messing around (that’s at least two below amateur) with my video camera and Sony Vegas, I’d like to try some basic video wizardry and as such would like a green screen, I’ve seen a few on the e-bay and Amazon and was hoping someone could recommend one? Again, the cheaper the better as I’m currently playing with technology (if I enjoy it I may invest a little more in the future).

Thanks,

I wouldn't bother, without hundreds of pounds of lighting equipment nothing will look quite right as the light will never match your background.

If you are just messing around, I'd just pick up a single coloured (blue or green) sheet or card/paper. It will work just fine, the main difference with a proper expensive screen is that it will be suspended perfectly so that there are no creases which can be an issue when Chroma Keying.

I certainly wouldn't want to spend much money if its all just for a bit of fun.

OK, thanks for the responses, I’ll get some cheap green cloth, I’ve got a 100” projector screen so I’ll hang it from that and see how it looks.
