GREEN SCREEN?!

i just installed a new gpu last week - gigabyte 7950. which installed a treat.

i turned my pc on this motning to update crysis 3 while i was away to work.

i was footering about in here...

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Performance Information and Tools

my score was 7.6 but i seen it saying that new hardware hasnt been registered, i clicked for it to do so but when i came back to the pc the screen was green. i reset the pc the screen is still green.

please help.
 
im in work at the minute so i cant check but im pretty sure its fine. the pc was working and wasnt moved while it updated the hardware.

i kinda think it is a driver update for the gpu? but my question is, if it still has the green screen how can i update?

i could use a different tv, one with vga output on it.
 
You could try another tv/monitor to rule out a faulty card, sometimes these things are just a coincidence, also try uninstalling the driver, reboot PC and install a different driver version, worth a shot?

Also, could the monitor have failed?
 
im using my tv. it only has an hdmi output on in.

the GPU was working fine. i even done a benchmark with heaven last week.

its just when i was in Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Performance Information and Tools and updated the hardware to get a new score the screen went green.

the tv is working fine too.
