I'm just putting up my first greenhouse, and want to sort out the best (low maintenance) way of watering the plants.

Greenhouse is an 8 foot aluminium jobby, and I'm intending to put in at least one slimline waterbutt (no pump).

Are these automatic drippers any good? http://www.diy.com/nav/garden/garde...nhouse-Irrigation-Kit-Home-Delivered-12868714

Also, will there be enough head from the pressure in the butt to reach the plants? There will be a 1m climb potentially.

Thanks!

My mum uses a water butt seep hose arrangement in her polytunnel which works well but it is elevated above the plants.

I've not tried mine yet, but home bargains recently had an irrigation system for £3.99 which is similar to the B&Q one you posted. It might be worth looking to see if they are still available.

My Father has had a greenhouse for at least 40 years and must have tried every watering option available. In the end going round with a watering can in the evening proved to be the most successful.
