Greenlizard0 PL & Championship Football Thread ** spoilers ** [30th April - 2nd May 2022]

It's really difficult to guess what sort of side we'll be putting out tomorrow. It's an absolute must win but given the schedule we've had and the turnaround from Wednesday's game, there's got to be a few changes. The 2-0 lead over Villarreal gives us a bit of an opportunity to rest a few players in the 2nd leg but I don't think Klopp will want to make wholesale changes there with the tie not completely dead and some players will need a break before then.

If I had to guess I think we'll see something like the following: Alisson, Trent, Matip, VVD, Kostas, Fab, Hendo, Keita, Jota, Diaz + Salah or Mane. And then VVD, Trent, Fabinho & Mane or Salah on the bench on Tuesday.

Not happy with the amount of changes we’ve made today, midfield looks particularly weak.
I thought he may have picked one of Fabinho or Thiago but it's not a massive surprise that he's left them both out. They've played every game for the past couple of weeks and starting them again barely 2 and a half days after Villarreal is a gamble, especially as both are susceptible to the odd injury.

Its one of those selections. One where if it works out then people say thats a good selection, won and able to rest key players but if it doesnt work out, people say Klopp blew the league by underestimating his opponent and making too many changes.
