dont hold out much hope for this weekend with rice and odegaard missing but confident our back line is strong enough to get a draw

however its set up nicely for raheem to become an instant hero ;) :p

You should hold out hope for any team going for the league title, a couple of players out and you've lost hope just means you don't feel you have enough depth.

Huge match for Uninted tomorrow, could quite easily lose to Soton. If they do it's, quite possibly all down hill from there.

Pretty much the two positions we've got injuries/no depth in. Ødegaard is irreplaceable and Rice's backup has a freak injury.

Even City are a different team without Rodri or De Bruyne.

He's sticking with Rashford. Ugarte on the bench. Eriksen in for Casemiro.

Southampton aren't good so we might squeeze past with a Bruno penalty...

Onana
Mazraoui
De Ligt
Martinez
Dalot
Eriksen
Mainoo
Amad
Fernandes (c)
Rashford
Zirkzee

Substitutes: Bayindir, Evans, Maguire, Casemiro, Collyer, Ugarte, Antony, Garnacho, Wheatley.

Such a weak bench, but we are where we are.

Yeah.

Casemiro - £65m
Antony - £86m
Ugarte - £45m
Maguire - £80m

And Garnacho one of the best young wide players around.

Weak squad tbf

Regardless, the team is more than strong enough to beat Southampton - it's a decent XI, if only it was coached well :(

No excuses now, need to be winning the next 4-5 games and playing well too.

Jesus christ, that Bruno penalty line cuts deep :(

Casemiro is past it
Antony, less said the better
Ugarte untested in EPL, let's hope he's good
Maguire, played OK recently but still...
Garnacho the only glimmer of hope but still not the finished article

So I'd say it is a weak bench
