now that's a super sunday

i'll take a draw against united. sandro being out is a big blow. parker is a solid replacement but this game is going to be about chasing and pressing, something parker wont do as effectively as sandro. no manu either so we need to make any chances we get count which we haven't done nearly enough of lately.

Everton haven't been quite as good of late and we are really getting into our stride! Roll on monday for me driving to some mad cold evening out, actually think we stand a chance of a decent result :)

Biggest game of the season. Tranmere lost tonight, so if we beat them on Saturday we'll be 1 point off them with two games in hand. Could be top by this time next week.

Weather may ruin it all though. Hopefully the snow will be minimal over the next couple of days... I stood in a queue outside for three hours getting my FA Cup ticket today, and if it's only going to get colder over the next few days then I may wear three jackets on Saturday :D

City will have closed the gap by the time we play on Sunday so we'll know what we need to do, hope to see the following team...

----------------De Gea----------------
Rafael---Ferdinand---Evans---Evra
Nani---Carrick---Cleverley---Kagawa
----------------Rooney
------------------RVP

Subs: Lindegaard, Vidic, Smalling, Anderson, Valencia, Welbeck, Hernandez

Slowly starting to be able to say we have a 100% complete fit squad

for right or wrong I think it will work out more like 4 - 5 - 1 with Nani instead of Kagawa on the left and Valencia (to possibly protect Rafael a little more) on the right

While he came in and out of last night's match in phases, I hope Nani is allowed to start , on which ever side.

Some media reporting Adkins has been sacked, all bookies have suspended betting, looks like the ex-Espanyol manager coming in is no longer just a rumours.

*******s. I hate football sometimes.

Yeah looks pretty nailed on that he's already gone. Maybe the club are waiting to try and announce his departure and the hiring of some one new right away.

Oh look here it is... I'm good at this.

Southampton FC ‏@officialsaints

Southampton Football Club has appointed Mauricio Pochettino as First Team Manager having relieved Nigel Adkins of his duties. #saintsfc

Unbelievable, Cortese has a lot to answer for. Why sack Adkins???

Can't really vent my anger appropriately on here but this is a dreadful decision.

:(

Evans out of the game at Spurs, no mention of Vidic so I assume it will be him and Rio as the two centre backs, I was worried about the pair of them against Suarez last week but they coped fairly comfortably so hopefully there's no problems playing the pair again. Hopefully Rafa can do his usual job on Bale :)

I look back on Wednesdays optimism has the last high point of supporting saints for a few years. It's going to be bad from here.

I now think we will loose by about 11 or 12 goals on tv and it'll be the most depressing game on tv of all time.

90 mins of there's only one Nigel Adkins to a premier league record loss will make the Chelsea fans shouting Rafa out look small time. :(

I said before the Liverpool game I'd be happy with 4 points out of 6 from these games so a draw will do, not too worried if City close the gap this weekend.

after the OT game a point against Spurs would be an improvement :):(

Would still be concerning giving City encouragement though (especially given they should win by a fair margin so g/d will be next to nothing)
