I doubt Pepe will start, he hasn't had a pre-season so we seem to be getting him up to speed, throwing him in the XI at anfield would be a nightmare. No doubt he'll make a 2nd half appearance when Liverpool start to tire.

Yeah. My local club growing up till I moved further away. Had many great days at Gigg Lane.

Few of my mates are gutted about the way things have gone but they seem close to folding every few years recently.

It’s hard to know what’s going on. The lawyers are saying the proof of financial ability has been submitted to the EFL but nothing seems to be going right at the moment.

It’s a shame the Nevilles won’t throw some cash at it.

It just annoys me that there are so many clubs round that way with mega rich resources and not one of them can see their way to giving a bit back and supporting lower level grass roots football. It was quite painful seeing that fan on Sky today literally pleading for someone to come in and save them.

Everton are such a weird club, they always look good on paper but never seem to reach their potential.

Can’t even see them winning the Everton cup with the likes of Leicester and Wolves.

How on earth can Everton spend over 100 mil and still play Calvert-Lewin up front.. I just checked the they did buy a striker but he set himself a target of 8 goals....

Everton looked to be falling apart at the end of that half. Constantly giving the ball away and blaming each other. As a Norwich fan I really want Everton to pull their finger out as I don't want Villa to win!

In regards to the talk about Calvert-Lewin playing up top, can't Richarlison play there?

Everton are so slow. Gomes has gone full Emmanuel Eboue and needs to come off. Calvert Lewin is crap in this game as are the Brazilian boys. Kean, Iwobi and anyone for Gomes to come on.
