Hi all!

I'm currently in Colorado, it's 9:40pm and I'm just about to have a home made curry after a days snowboarding in the fresh powder in the Back Bowls.

Been here since last weekend. Back to Blighty this coming weekend. :(

It's been fantastic, but not without drama.

Out of the party of seven, we're down to four!
One flown back home on day 2 for knee surgery!
One out with food poisioning!
One out with a smashed (badly bruised) rib cage!

What fun!

I'm completely knackered and ache like an achy thing.

Last full day tomorrow so we're going to hit it hard.

I'll post some pics this weekend. This place and the weather (despite being -18 today) is truely spectacular!

Hope you're enjoying Blighty :p

Here I am stuck in exeter, doing work, one this wet miserable day. Joy!

Hope you dont get injured tomorrow mate, that would not be a nice end :D

Well hello from Adelaide where it was 35 degrees yesterday and the high 20's today......snow, what's that?????

Nice, had a week snowboarding in Whistler in January and so I know how achey and achey thing is as well. :D

Jealousy!

Is it really a powder paradise like that make it out to be? I went snowboarding in La Plagne last month and had the time of my life - we were very lucky with the weather and it snowed a metre or so in a couple of days, so I enjoyed my first taste of fresh powder and loved it...

See, this one makes it look like I know what I'm doing!

I loved Vail. Is the Stetson shop still there? I nearly bought one with the obligatory bullet hole through it. You should spend a day on the slopes in Beaver Creek, too. The back bowls are powder hound paradise, normally.

nice, my sis used to live out there! teaching sking but it naffs you kneas up right good and proper,

its realy nice in summer too!

is there still a nice little cafe called "the daily grind" there?

You lucky chap!! I am still ploughing through the beginner stages at Cas Vegas Xscape. First board and bindings next week so I am getting really excited about that.

Hope you make it back OK and don't become another casualty of your party.

Most definitely.

We hit the back bowls today. Acres and acres of ungroomed terrain, about 2 foot deep powder - all black runs. My legs are cream crackered but it was totally worth it, last day and all.

We stayed in Beaver Creek, and the slopes there were cool - better than Arrowhead - but Vail certainly beats them all. You cannot understand how vast the place is. We'll be booking up for next year very soon.

Leaving for home tomorrow :( gutted

Shopping? Nah man. It's all about slope time ;)

As I said above we stayed in Beaver Creek. We did buy the obligatory tshirts from the local off licence - Beaver Liquers ;)
