Healthy? There is one of my short walk to University and every morning i go past, it is always tempting to grab a sandwich or sausage roll. Obviously the pastry isn't going to be the best quality but what about the rest?

Mmmm steak bakes.

not good

pasties are full of bad fats
and I bet the quality of the meat is poor at best

Good only if you aren't able to eat anything else

Used to love them when I worked 60 hours+ a week in a sales job and had no time to make my own lunches. Made me fatter though, I think!

I certainly wouldn't consider it the healthy option.

Tuna crunch on brown is pretty damn good I have to say.

Anything breddy isn't gonna be great for you, but if it's free of dressing (mayo etc) then it shouldn't be too bad really.

Don't, don't don't buy a sausage roll from there if you like a sausage roll to actually have sausage meat in the middle. They have some sort of slimy, pale pink gooey stuff in the centre and the 'pastry' is a tasteless mass of something foul! Urghhhhhhh!

Who cares about them being healthy? The Sausage Rolls, from the shop in Newcastle anyway, are nice (not as nice as Wright's though) and that's all that should matter. After all, it's not like you're living on them is it.

Yeah, Adsa/Tesco's rolls are just full of ****..

Have to say the pork stuffing bagget from greggs is amasing! Worth a try when its winter..

I think theyre brilliant, pity we dont have them over here, i recently spent a week working in birmingham and i ate from greggs at lunch everyday.

greggs is awesome, but i've had to forego their treats for a healthier lifestyle, one favourite was buying the mdeal of a sausage roll and soup, then dipping the roll into tomato soup, and if you got it right (and weren't afraid of burning your mouth apart, use the sausage roll as a rudamentary straw ;D
