Hello,

Having mixed results with awful tool bar addons and such.

I need a piece of software to make a grid, similar to the old books in maths!

I'm planning my house move so I NEED something to work on the computer, rather then print off some gird paper and draw..

To make everything work before the move, I'd say need, given Ikea for example is a 120 mile round trip so would prefer to know what space I can play with for sure

Ikea have their own planning tools (like simplified AutoCAD) available for download.

It looks like Google Layout was pretty much invented for this. It now downloads as a part of sketchup and the Pro version is free for 30 days.

Edit: Print screen of me using it.

I never managed to get Google layout to work properly, and drawing a house in sketchup is a major pain. Once you've done the layout can you then view it in 3d?
