So just got one of the reversible griddle plates (flat one side griddle the other)

Just tried my first breakfast on it turned out good need to work out timings though and also remember to disable the smoke alarm

I found moving the center rack to the side kept it level.

Anyone else got one what do you cook and how?

I found th timings a little off burned some bacon undercooked my toast etc. I went with sausages first for a few mins then toast then bacon then eggs

.edit yes I know my cooker is filthy :p

Been meaning to get one of these ... how is it to clean up? Or do you just give it a rubdown?

Brekkie looks great!

This was from people ook in Cheshire oaks wipe with q paper towel and some oil was all that was needed

It's ememlwned not bare cast.

I will be trying smash hirer's next

How much booze was in your brekkie?

I really want to make sense of this post but can't :D Enamelled?

Haha sorry its enamelled not bare cast iorn so it may be different to others.

It was from pro cook about 30 quid

A wipe and an oil was all that's needed to clean but also it doesn't need much seasoning.

I will be trying the smash burgers next

I was a bit tipsy and forgot to correct my post, that's what they all look like the first time I type them :o

If you use the raw iron ones for steak - I find you have to clean with dish soap and nylon scrubber - so its not like seasoned frypan where a wipe may work.

Haven't used it much since we lost the gas hob - slices of polenta 'cake' come up well

So burgers came out really good ao nice having lots of room compared to a pan.

The buns toast near instantly because of the stored heat it seems so watch for that.

Tinting are a little different compared to the carbon steel pan, seems to take a bit longer. Was a pain trying to keep onions on it due to the lack of sides though.

Cleaning is a bit more awkward after burgers as it holds so much heat and is heavy so burns you through oven gloves. I let it go cool and trying to get the grease off under the tap later ruined a sponge.
Heating it back up and then wiping it down with a paper towel worked well but left a lot of fiberes behind.

It is enamelled so it can go inthe dish washer but it will dull a bit.

Overall definitely a fun purchase I think something like a 1/4-1/2 thick carbon steel plate may be better but thinks like the baking steel are so expensive

LeCreuset griddle has sufficiently raised edges that you can put boiling water+dish soap into it while still on the hob and scrub (old toothbrushes) a bit -
before, later, carefully carrying to sink when cooler & finishing with the nylon sponge, also do that for frypans;

for wok too, but don't add the soap though, as food doesn't destroy the seasoning.
