GridView replacement that uses ObjectDataSources

Hi all,

Bit of a random one, looking for a GridView replacement that will support the use of an ObjectDataSource data source. jqGrid looks good but is too expensive for me really, as it's just a basic internal site can't really justify the cost.

Some basic features like ability to resize columns, paging, that sort of thing would be excellent.

Not sure if it's exactly what you're after, but I normally use a combination of MVCcontrib Grid to generate the HTML, and jQuery DataTables to add the front-end functionality.

I prefer Devexpress, Telerik is another option.

These are both pretty fully functional so learning time and cost may be an issue.

I am playing around with Datatables, look like it will do what I want without having to change the code too much

Wonder if I can add resizable columns though, that is one of the main things I want!
