Grill surround dechrome wrap effect

I'm looking to get the chrome grill surround wrapped in gloss black on my Leon FR and was wondering to whether use 3M, Avery or Oracal as I have seen some online that have the haziness/orange peel effect on the vinyl which I'm trying to avoid to have that OEM look

They don't sell it in gloss black only in chrome and is a front bumper off job to remove the grill surround which is a pita so thought of just wrapping it

If you bought another and sprayed it gloss black, could you break the current one off and just clip the new one in?

Surely even wrapping it you won't get as good a finish unless you remove it first?
