Grinding/screeching form new GPUs

Hey all,

Just checking up on this, I know odd noises are expected from the CPU similar to a grinding/screeching noise but I think my new Gigabyte GTX580 SOCs are making rather loud grinding/screeching. It changes in pitch and volume between loading screens and menus in game.

Anyone with experience on this?

never had it myself but plenty have and some have had their cards replaced

I'd go for a replacement if the noise is in any way annoying.

High frequency Vibration of a capacitor causes this and I wouldn't day it's 'Normal' but rather increasingly common recently as cards get more powerful.

Some people can identify the cap that's resonating and fix it with a blob of hit glue or something.
