So the above specs are pretty clear, drill hole, anchor goes in, setting tool gets whacked, finished. BUT! when threading in the M8 threaded rod afterwards
(gripple wire has a 'studfast' connection with an M8 thread), is a penny washer+nut combination then used to tighten up flush into the ceiling, or not? Or does it just hang out of already set the drop in anchor?

Also when fixing Unistrut to a concrete ceiling, what is preferred, shield anchor stud type/bolt type, or just a sleeve anchor?
Or drop in anchor again with a big washer+bolt through it? Preferred as in easiest and simplest really. If all holes are to the correct depth and cleaned I can't see strength varying?

Industrial setting, nothing heavy being hung though just some light ducting.

I'd be phoning their technical department tomorrow.

That's the truth!

For the strut, 10X50MM sleeve anchor? Sound man enough? From what I gather a 12X**MM anchor won't go through the hole in the strut anyway, so if the head on the 10X**MM abchor isn't enough it'll need a washer on it too.

I fixed up kilometres of unistrut years ago, but at the time it was just a case of being told there's the strut, there's the fixings, there's the laser line markings off you go. Didn't have to think about the job much myself!
Now I've got to spec a job I need to check the details!

I found a better .pdf for the Gripple wire, looks like the drop in anchor + StudFast is enough. Result! No messing with nuts and bolts up there!

Last thing you want is it falling down and hurting someone.

The tech departments are very good they will be able to spec you a system that'll work but it will be theirs i.e. not on the cheap.

This of course is of the utmost importance, just seems strange that no specs seem to exist online for this sorta thing. Must be a quick rule book for KG/MM of anchor bolt depth*width etc etc but yes, on the blower tomorrow!

Re: gripple wire, it's not rotating once in place so I'd have thought a simple screw in would be enough.

Re: unistrut, have you tried using multi-monti bolts instead? Much cheaper for light loads.
