Grisoft (AVG) buys Ewido

Ewido, probably the best anti malware software available, has been purchased but Grisoft, the well known AVG Antivirus company.

I know that Ewido is quite popular with people here and thought this news might be of interest. At the moment it seems there are no plans to change either product and Ewido v4 is due very soon.

I hope they don't ruin it like Symantec has done to Sygate.

Interesting but I find AVG somewhat poor always see it having great difficulty removing viruses/spyware, maybe this will help them

it will only be good if they can merge the program as part of AVG though....

Probably not the wisest of business purchases considering Vista is just around the corner...
