Ground clutter tweeking :(

Since 4.0, if I enter a zone with a decent amount of ground clutter, I see a variety of solid colored streaks across my screen. In some areas the ground clutter doesn't make streaks, but is just giant and ubiquitous.

In BG its just unbearable.
I have a Gainward 4870 X2, Q6600 and Abit IP35 PEO XE which worked perfectly until the patch. :confused:

Has the data fully downloaded yet (with the new play whilst it downloads updater)? I know that you would experience oddities whilst the download is in the yellow and less but still some whilst its in the green.
 
I had a grpahics issue with water on my pc, above the 2nd setting there would be none, just another copy of the rendered gameworld, slightly offset.

Seems to be some issues with graphics this patch if you read the forums.

Suggest turning everything to minimum and testing then bumping up one by one, that allowed me to find the issue for me. I am sure it will get better, oh prob worth ensuring you have latest graphics drivers as well.

Running any out of date addons? Had the same issue and was caused by titan panel I think

Same thing for OP as well :)

powdaman: yes and all the mini patches till date, I have even gone as far as copying over my wow folder onto my bro's PC so its not the game per say, suspect its the graphics card (yes latest drivers) wow works a treat on my PC.

robskinner: decreasing resolution and the lowering the details makes it even worse lol

Bumhug: started wow with all add-ons disabled so sadly not that, and as said earlier, copied the wow folder of off my PC which works to an extent 100%

I strongly suspect it has something to do with 4XXX range of cards (which I have tweaked as well) all the posts I found had that range.

Will check tonight again tonight.

Any more view/ideas please feel free to add :)

Just an update:
Installed Asus 4890 and worked a treat, clutter gone.
Yet the graphics have decreased :( ,will test on a weekly/fortnight basis with Gainward 4870 X2 and keep an eye on forums.

Any/all updates welcome :)
