Group interview at supermarket-asda

All the best chefs in the world cook with no gloves on I would be more surprised seeing a cook with gloves on than I would one without, hell I cook with no gloves on even when we have people round and nobody has dies yet. I even cook outside in the open air with a can of beer in one hand dear lord it's a miracle the dysentry hasn't killed me!

Realism saves the day, yet again. :)

I work at ASDA (just on a Sunday, though used to be full time).

Shirt/trousers/shoes. Go in, be yourself, be happy.

At my group one, we had to introduce the people next to us, explain which two items theyd take into space. Then we all got together and made the tallest free standing thing we could out of balloons and Sellotape.

Asda has taken on a very 'American' ethos (WalMart) so expect that kind of enthusiasm and constant team work to rammed down your throat as soon as you get in. Good luck!

EUGH get off your high horses about working in ASDA. I bet you lot would be the first to have a go at someone for sitting on their bum doing sweet FA on the dole. Its pathetic to judge someone's job like that. I actually found working in ASDA a really interesting experience and I got to meet a lot of really great people.

For the interview, just be friendly, confident (but not overly so) and listen to what they tell you in an interested way. During have a go make a really strong effort to actually pack someones bags and make polite conversation with the customers, (if thats what they have you doing). You'd be amazed the number of people who just keep their heads down and dont even actually pack anything.

Well said. ;)

You can't moan at someone using bare hands making your dirty chicken burger. Firstly, it is a dirty cheap chicken burger, and secondly, have you not see top chefs cook!?!?

They touch pretty much every thing on your plate when they are constructing the dish. :p

And best of luck OP. :)
